Ebor Falls

HILLGROVE

15 mins East of Armidale

 

Gold was first discovered in the 1870's. Hillgrove's peak was during the 1880's & 1890's when the population numbered close to 3000

Today gold & antimony are still being mined and thus sustain the small settlement

The Museum is open from 10am - 5pm Friday, Saturday Sunday, Monday (Donations welcome).

 

Wollomombi Falls,

25 mins  east  of Armidale.

 

 

 

 

 

The second highest falls in Australia.

50m stroll from the carpark will give you a magnificent view of both the Wollomombi and the Chandler Falls

Dutton's trout hatchery

40 mins east of Armidale

Dutton’s Trout Hatchery will give a guided tour and visual and audio show, which explains the life of a trout.

You can then feed the trout, view the aquarium and “tickle the tamest trout on the tablelands”.

POINT LOOKOUT

60 mins  east of Armidale

 

 

Be amazed at the breathtaking views of Point Lookout.

 At 1564 metres above sea level Point lookout is situated on a near vertical escarpment offering a magnificent panorama to the north, east and south.

Take a walk through the temperate rainforest

CATHEDRAL ROCKS NAT. PARK

For the energetic, take time to explore the haunting granite boulders of the Cathedral Rocks National Park

EBOR FALLS

60 mins east of Armidale

The Ebor Falls are spectacular Upper & Lower Falls, located at tje southern end of Guy Fawkes National Park.

Ebor Falls is where the Guy Fawkes River takes its first spectacular plunge off the Northern Tablelands.   Being in a high rainfall area, the falls have a regular flow, even in dry periods
