History

Settled in the
1830s, Rylstone is one of the most picturesque towns in the region,
and one of the oldest settlements west of the Great Dividing Range.
It has retained its historic 19th Century character in its
architecture

Rylstone was originally a centre for agriculture which began in the
early 1800s. It’s still that centre but now offers all the services
the local community and the visitor would expect

Rylstone Heritage Trail
Wide streets, beautiful plane trees and quaint shops and cafes
give the town its villagey atmosphere and aesthetic appeal.
Pick up a copy of the Heritage Trail and see the town on
foot.

adjacent to the main street and looking down over the Cudgegong
